Job Role

The role offers an excellent balance of practical outdoor work with office-based duties and will involve:-

• restructuring and management from planning through to harvesting.
• Compliance with Health & Safety regulations and other legislation relevant to forestry operations.
• Preparation of forest plans and grant applications and other related permissions.
• Identifying and developing new woodland creation projects from concept design through to establishment.
• Use of GIS mapping systems.
• Preparing and managing budgets.
• Producing client reports, liaising with client and contractors and attending client meetings.

Skipper/s

We are looking for Part time or Full time Skippers to join us at Cruise Loch Linnhe in Fort William with immediate start and contract lengths from Seasonal to all year round.

The role can be on an employed basis or self employed basis.

We require 2 or 3 days per week cover which can be on day rate/self employed basis or as Part time employed with immediate start and end in October.

Also available is Full time all year round week on week off.

Salary 32k to 35k dependant on experience, plus 28 days holiday, plus overtime,plus company van when on shift.

Our passenger vessels require Boat Master licenses T2L2 with Upper Loch linnhe as a minimum.

It would be beneficial if you already hold this however FULL training and support to gain this qualification will be given to the correct candidate.

As a Delivery Driver and member of our Sales Team, you’ll enjoy a variety of duties ranging from:

• Preparation, planning and loading of orders for delivery.
• Delivering to customers as required.
• Daily vehicle and equipment maintenance checks ensuring any corrective action is reported and actioned.
• Compliance with operational procedures, including goods in and goods out, sales and order processing and stock control.

About the Role

Base Location: Opportunity can be based in either Foyers or Dundreggan

Salary: £31,339 - £35,892 + up to 8% performance-related bonus + tools + standby & callout allowances + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

The multi-disciplined team in the Great Glen is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of our Hydro Generation plant to ensure it is kept in a safe and efficient state. As an important member of the operations and maintenance team you will perform a key role in the safe operation and maintenance of the Hydro Generation assets.

Your duties will include:

- Carrying out mechanical maintenance activities and multi-disciplinary defect rectification, repair work and designated project work.

- Routine inspections and checks ensuring equipment and fixed plant is kept to a high standard of operational effectiveness.

- Conducting risk assessments, plus environmental and safety inspections and will receive training to operate Hydro generation plant.

- Working closely with other team members, reporting, and repairing operational defects as they arise.

Due to the nature of the role you may, from time to time, be required to work outside in all weather conditions and it may be necessary to carry out work out of normal working hours when required.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have;

- A mechanical or multi-skilled craft background, ideally with experience of working on heavy rotating machinery.

- A qualification of NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds or equivalent craft apprenticeship certificates.

- A good level of computer literacy, and we'll train you to use our inhouse maintenance scheduling and reporting software.

- A full driving licence is essential, and a first aid qualification would be advantageous.

Due to the nature of this role, there is a requirement that you live, or are willing to relocate, within a 30 mile radius of the base location.

As part of a small team the successful candidate will assist in the delivery of high quality housing management services. Key duties will be supporting the delivery of tenancy and estate management services, rent arrears management, and housing allocations.

The successful candidate should have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel, and ideally possess a working knowledge of computer databases. Key responsibilities:

• To assist the housing management function and housing officers within the department with recognised duties - including but not limited to; pre allocation support, tenant engagement, provision of advice and information, tenancy sustainment, rent management and recharges.
• To assist the team in tenant engagement activity including but not limited to surveys, light touch consultations, support in managing any statistical information and research tools are required.
• Assisting tenants at risk of recovery action to avoid homelessness through one to one advice, information and assistance.
• To assist with the management of system audits and processes within Housing Management including the provision of reports.
• To assist with the management of pre allocation support for applicants, and post tenancy support for new tenants through the provision of advice, information and assistance.
• To provide assistance in the allocation of properties and management of the Highland Housing Register.

Job Description:

In this role you will:

• Contribute to project activities that pertain to containers and container orchestration (i.e.,  Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, Nexus).
• SEIM support to include Splunk and OpenSearch.
• Provide Linux support to include, patch management, vulnerability management, STIG application/implementation and other security policies/protocols.
• Automate and script manual operational tasks aiming to reduce manual operational efforts  Setup analytical and real time monitoring to provide meaningful alerts and reports.
• Participate on a support roster to monitor all systems in network and to respond accordingly to ensure maximum performance, efficiency and availability of the service.

To be successful in the role, you are expected to have:

• Experience with system administration of containers and container orchestration (i.e.,  Docker, Kubernetes, nomad, nexus).
• Good understanding of security principals around privileged access management, security protocols and authentication, and encryption.
• Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting VMware Horizon, VMware ESXi, and/or Nutanix to include building Windows and Linux images.
• Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting RHEL VMs, to include Red Hat Satellite.
• Utilizing SaltStack or other tools to automate updates, configuration management, and system administration tasks.
• Managing system via iDRAC, Avocent IP KVM and Raritan IP KVM tools in a lights-out data center environment.
• Automating implementation and testing of hardened system configurations (familiarity with DISA STIG preferred).

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of System Administration experience (e.g., Microsoft Windows, Group Policy, Active directory, SaltStack, Red Hat Linux, Encryption)
• Willingness to travel within CONUS
• IAT II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP , GSEC, Security+ CE, CND and SSCP)
• Active Secret Clearance
