The post holder will be responsible for providing a uniformed specialist security service. Key Responsibilities Security staff will be expected to maintain, at all times, a standard of personal conduct and deportment in keeping with the nature of their duties and the hospital environment. Carry out regular patrols of the site and to report any incidents and/or damage in line with Local Operating Procedures. Car Parking Duties and Responsibilities To monitor vehicles parked on site to ensure all vehicles are authorised to park in designated areas. To follow Trust Policy in regard to unauthorised vehicles and have the responsibility for the issue of parking notices and warning notices as appropriate in line with the car parking local operating procedures for enforcement. Responsible for the first line maintenance of car park ticket machines (change ticket rolls, clear coin jams and rectify minor faults etc). Handle small amounts of cash removed from car park payment machines following coin jams. Under supervision ensure security of all cash movements/collections (i.e., when car parking pay on foot machines are emptied), including handling of cash boxes containing large sums of cash as and when required. To play an active part in the work of the HFEA, particularly in relation to the work of the policy team, by supporting key areas of activity and giving advice in relation to particular issues. The post holder will work alongside the Senior Legal Adviser, whose primary area of focus will be licensing and compliance issues. The Legal Advisor role will support the policy team, other colleagues including the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team, looking at issues relating to our legislation and regulations as they arise and supporting areas of work including changes to the Code of Practice; Opening the Register; and changes the HFEA are proposing to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act. Key responsibilities To work with colleagues, particularly in the policy team, to offer advice on issues as they arise and to ensure that legal advice is embedded in all policy decisions. To work with the Senior Legal Adviser as required to support other areas of HFEA activity including any litigation. To advise on issues arising from inspector enquiries, patient enquiries, Freedom of Information requests and press enquiries. To translate formal legal advice into workable policy advice. To review and advise on policy documents from a legal perspective To contribute to key areas of work including the Code of Practice changes; Opening the Register; and changes the HFEA are proposing to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act. Working with project managers across the organisation to support projects along with a multi-disciplinary team ensuring any legal advice is provided as needed. To liaise with DHSC lawyers or external advisers as required. Attending internal and external meetings as required.

This is a new, high profile post, where the post holder will be required to act as operational lead for the Health Visiting team and oversee the public health element of the Family Hub, e.g. schools workshops, transition to parenthood and healthy relationships. All interventions will be quality assured and monitored to ensure they are informed by a robust evidence base and are aligned with guidance from National Institute For Clinical Excellence (NICE) or equivalent. They will also be based on the health needs of the children and families in the Borough and the annual priorities identified. The post holder will have experience of driving successful outcomes around key performance indicators. The post holder will lead on the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years, working in partnership with children, young people, their families, the wider multi-agency teams, the voluntary and community sector (VCS) and commissioners. This includes the assessment and support of vulnerable children, including those within the Safeguarding arena. The post holder will provide professional and clinical supervisory support to the Team Leads in the service. There is an expectation of a high level of work related pressure in terms of deadlines, conflicting priorities, problem-solving and team management roles. The post holder will be required to work in partnership with the Hub Manager to develop and deliver through the Family Hub Teams the Public Health programmes.
