An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, ambitious and highly motivated individual to join the management team of Surrey Downs Integrated Care Partnership as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

Are you the leader we are looking for to oversee the work of our Histopathology service and who will ensure that we continue to offer high-quality services to the Trust? In conjunction with the Clinical Director and Directorate Manager for Cellular Pathology, you will be responsible for the overall operation and development of the Histopathology laboratory service. • Responsible for supporting the Directorate Manager for Cellular Pathology in strategically develop the Histopathology, Cytopathology and Mortuary services
• Act as the Laboratory Manager for the Department, taking responsibility for the management of the department, its resources and technical services including the scientific and clerical staff, finance, equipment and space.

You will contribute to the teaching and training of staff which may include physiologists, student physiologists, Doctors in training and medical students. You will work with and manage a small team of respiratory physiologists.

Along with the ability to perform a wide range of respiratory and sleep physiology investigations you should have experience of managing a team, have excellent communication skills and have great multi-tasking skills

Provide a comprehensive respiratory and comprehensive sleep investigative clinical service to patients of all ages referred from a wide range of specialities.

Provide expert opinion, advice and interpretation of simple, specialist, complex and highly complex assessments to medical staff and other healthcare professionals.

Provide management, leadership and clinical training of Lung Function Unit staff and other staff groups.
