1.Substantial and successful management of significant and complex capital and revenue projects within an economic development environment.

2.Experience acting as a senior project lead and delivering large complex capital projects and programmes of work.

4.Demonstrable ability to produce and check high quality, accurate, timely and appropriate reports and communications.

6.Track record of positively representing the Regeneration service and projects at a senior level to external stakeholders, to Members and senior managers.

7.Successful track record of communicating and working with stakeholders, partners and multi-agency working.

8.Ability to deputise for the Head of Service as necessary.

9.Experience of supporting, managing and developing a team effectively within a similar service delivery environment.

10.Demonstrable ability to work independently whilst engaging with both senior and junior officers in the delivery of common goals.

11.Ability to prioritise own and others workload in response to service need.

12. Experience and knowledge of current Local Government democratic processes and an understanding of the political context and its impact on delivering the aims of the team.

Overview
- £35,000 annually depending on experience
- Average of 45 hours per week – paid weekly
- Shifts include lunchtime and evening, weekdays, and weekends (split shifts required)
- Rotating schedule with one weekend off every three weeks
- Flexibility required to cover holidays and occasional additional shifts
- Support newer members of the kitchen team

The role
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation and presentation of our dishes, including our renowned Sunday lunches and steak nights. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, ensuring consistency across all menu items, and managing kitchen operations efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, following established recipes and procedures.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Create innovative and seasonal menus that appeal to our diverse customer base, while also incorporating traditional pub favourites.
- Manage inventory, stock rotation, and ordering to minimise waste and ensure freshness of ingredients.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management with regards to rotas and team development

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef, with previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekdays, evenings, and weekends, with one weekend off in every three.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Ensure compliance with the statutory duties for the delivery of child protection (CP), Child in Need (CIN) and Child in Care reviews.

-Provides strategic oversight, support and advice to operational services within the Starting Well Department Children’s social care in line with national guidance.

-Leads a robust child-focused service that contributes to keeping children in Havering safe and achieves improved outcomes by promoting high standards of practice in planning and reviewing arrangements for the protection and care of children.

-Implements, delivers and monitors practice under the Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) providing challenge and embedding practice improvements to ensure positive outcomes. This will include undertaking audits as necessary.

-Ensures compliance with relevant management information requirements for all national and local performance indicators and to establish plans to improve performance where required.

-This will include tracking team performance, weekly performance data and analysis for the Senior Management Team as delegated by the Head of Service for Practice or other senior leaders as required.
