The Business Planning Specialist plays a vital role within the finance team and will coordinate all financial planning activities including forecasts, budgets and longer term operational & strategic business plans. - Responsible for overseeing the Financial Plan and Forecast upload processes into SAP BPC, including central assumptions, checking uploads agree to control totals and providing regular updates.
- Be Cadent’s SAP BPC super-user delivering training to our local finance / wider business teams, and become an expert in reporting from SAP BPC to complete variance and trend analysis, including reviews of central assumptions.
- Responsible for the creation, development and management of complex and robust financial models and excel spreadsheets. These models should be built in accordance with best practice guidelines to ensure accuracy, audit of changes, and transparency of the models for internal and external parties to provide valuable insights, thus enabling senior business stakeholders to make well informed tactical & strategic decisions. This will include statutory to regulatory adjustments alongside different price bases.
- Accountable for completion of forecast regulatory submissions (RRP) and consolidation of the RIIO3 regulatory plans.
- Accurately analyse key regulatory and financial metrics to facilitate informed decision-making regarding complex issues
- Support the team in production of high-quality PowerPoint presentations summarising analysis completed
- Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders and work effectively with them in supporting the financial modelling of forecasts, budgets and strategic/ad-hoc business cases

The team

The Sustainable Business Team (SBT) is a welcoming one. We are part of the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance (STA) Directorate. Our role is to act as a corporate enabler. We support colleagues across the Environment Agency, DEFRA and supply chain, to embed our sustainability strategy. This strategy covers our ambition to be Net Zero Carbon by 2045-50 and promotes resource optimisation, environmental net gain and benefiting people, wildlife and communities.

Experience/skills required

Generic requirements are set out in the G5 Business Services job profile. Key competences are:
• An understanding and passion for sustainability – you'll need to understand what we're trying to achieve and suggest alternative data strategies.
• Knowledge of the requirements of all relevant sustainability reporting standards (SBTi/GGC etc) and experience of integrating that into existing corporate reporting.
• Experience of using and presenting sustainability data through well-developed engagement, influencing and networking skills to effect change.
• Experience of managing data, insights and reporting delivery within large scale organisations, ideally within the sustainability field.
• Ability to work consistently at pace, to meet corporate delivery deadlines/priorities.

Responsible for supply plan activities for all products from 3rd party vendors within the portfolio assigned. Supply planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance, delivery fulfillment and revenue max-out in line with business performance. Analyze and troubleshoot supply-related issues in a timely and accurate manner. Supply planning factors in all aspects related to demand forecast, inventory (wafer / die / wip / FG), logistic and included the components of open and planned customer orders, on hand quantities, delivery lead time, material MOQ / lead time, safety stock, production leveling and demand chase. • Analyze inventory, managing DOI, slow-moving and obsolete stock, adjusting order quantities, reviewing, recommending & driving material substitution and work on inventory depletion.

 

• Delivery performance. Report and utilize the Performance metrics to drive improvement. Oversee and monitor compliance to Planning key performance indicators – OTD (delivery fulfilment), Supplier OTD, Cycle Time and B2B transaction statistics and revenue.

 

• Attends daily business or operations related meetings

 

• Drive continuous improvement processes through system and network optimization, cost reductions and improved service in collaboration with other stakeholders and functions with the company

 

• Ensure that Supply Chain Planning operations and support are aligned with Supply Chain, Business and company goals and objectives.
