Key Responsibilities

The Content Compliance Manager will be responsible for supporting the optimized workflow and general management of the copy approval process for advertising and promotional materials and implementing modern practices of approval for content such as claims, components and modular content.

1. Copy Approval Process and Approval Framework:

Enables, advises, and implements risk framework for review and approval of ad/promo materials, claims, components, and modular content in APAC markets. Should be able to significantly reduce time of approval without compromising on risks.

2. Process Implementation:

Ensures optimized workflow is followed in markets with clear adoption plan. Our Teams are involved in end to end processes to mitigate risks, including financial crime risks, and identification of areas of control weakness. We work directly with the business as key partners in driving control improvement.

 The teams are also responsible for identifying any gaps or weaknesses in Zodia’s adherence to applicable laws, regulations, rules and standards of self-regulatory organisations. Risk & Compliance play a key role in in ensuring key business processes help to manage risks enabling our businesses to continuously improve its risk management processes.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with both the Risk and Compliance teams, which are core teams to Zodia Custody’s success. You will help Zodia Custody in its mission to enable Digital Assets, without compromise.

What you'll be helping us with:

• Making sure Zodia Custody is compliant with risk frameworks, is continually improving these frameworks and is fostering a culture of assessment, challenge and monitoring  
• Continuing to expand, enhance and evolve our company-wide control landscape to meet regulatory expectations and deliver best in class services to our customers
• Scale the business to new markets and products

You'll spend your time:

• Challenging existing processes to ensure we are performing controls in line with and/or exceeding industry standards
• Assessing new products, clients, crypto assets/blockchains and geographies
• Executing design and operating effectiveness control tests to ensure that we have full, accurate picture of the effectiveness of the Zodia Custody-wide control landscape;
• Making recommendations to improve control effectiveness and/or identify where new controls are required;
• Identifying and monitoring risk exposure, as well as collaborating with other departments to develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk.
• Performing 'deep dives' (assurance reviews) on specific risks and/or across a series of related controls to make sure we have the correct control coverage in place and they are operating effectively.
• Managing and fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders across the three lines of defense

• Managing stakeholders, and proposing improvement and solutions to QA-related issues
• Set KPI and direction for the QA team, and lead the team by guiding and coaching
• Implement and ensuring all quality and food safety control processes are in compliance to company’s standard, ISO and local statutory requirement.
• Conduct in house food safety training to production/operation staffs.
• Manage customer complaints by investigating and performing trouble-shooting
• Drive process improvement program to ensure high standard of food safety and quality
• Provide technical advice to support other department when necessary
• Perform QA audit at central kitchen and outlets, and prepare QA reports.
• Monitoring product integrity and conduct product testing for new and regular products
• To support in supplier management program (audit and ingredient approval)
• Manage external inspection and liaise with regulatory agencies
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management

Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Food Science / Food Technology or other Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years work experience in QAQC related field in food industry, preferably from food manufacturing/food service/food retail
• Familiar with food regulatory/retail hygiene requirement is an added advantage
• Good knowledge in GMP/HACCP/ GFSI / HALAL, ISO 22000 and Food Safety is preferable
• Familiarity / experience in internal auditing and microbiological testing method is preferred
• Candidates with experience leading team preferred

Job Responsibilities

• Regularly update and maintain compliance policies
• Compliance housekeeping matters – Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to compliance activities, including PA trading and conflicts
• Monitor and assess compliance risks associated with the company's activities
• Responsible for trade surveillance – pre and post-trade monitoring, trade error review, and trade incident investigation and reporting
• Conduct compliance training programs for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance obligations
• Review and approve marketing materials, client communications, and other externally facing documents to ensure compliance
• Perform regular compliance audits and assessments to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
• Keep abreast of the latest regulatory requirements that apply to hedge fund business and implement such regulations with legal and operations departments as necessary
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement compliance programs and initiatives
• Liaise with regulators for general enquiries and onsite inspections,  and with auditors with respect to audits
• Regulatory reporting – Ensure and track compliance with relevant regulations, including CFTC, SEC, SFC related filings
• Manage PA dealings, conflicts of interests within the firm
• Participate in the firm’s Vendor Management process
• Administer the firm’s wall-crossing and travel policies

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, business, or law
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance within the financial industry, preferably in hedge funds or asset management
• Sound knowledge of applicable regulations and laws, such as SFC regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and regulators
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Professional certifications in compliance (e.g., CAMS, CFE, CRCMP) are highly desirable

What are the key deliverables for this role?

Product Compliance (New Product Development)

●      Set way of working for product compliance during new product development phase.

●      Ensure that all new products launched by Koala are safe and fit for purpose.  This includes the regular review / updating of any specific Product Development Guidelines, ensuring the appropriate market regulatory requirements are also considered.

●      Work closely with external labs and third party to secure the legal requirements for different markets, has been clear and executed well.

●      Work closely with different authorities, to get latest information on any legal requirement updates, and understand how to implement updates into business.

●      Set up the testing plan both on time and resources-wise yearly, and follow-up status.

Quality Control (Existing Products)

●      Set quality performance KPI for overall business, different categories and suppliers.

●      Undertake regular reviews of existing products in range to determine the root causes of warranties and returns.  Based on these reviews, put in place corrective actions with factories to reduce manufacturing faults and defects.

●      Regularly review products against any current quality and regulatory compliance requirements to ensure they continue to be safe, fit for use and compliant to regulatory requirements in all markets we operate in.  This includes ongoing testing of products and materials where required.

●      Collaborate with various stakeholders within the business to draw insights that are driven by warranties and returns data, customer insights (formal) and customer service feedback to provide recommendations on further improvements that could be made to products (either current or future) and champion the continual improvement of existing products within the range.

●      Working closely with our factory partners, lodge regular credit claims based on the specific requirements of the Supplier and Warranty agreements.  Report back to the finance team on all credit claims successfully lodged.

●      Together with team, Investigate consumer complaints, quality failures and areas of further improvement, and work closely with the Quality team and other internal / external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

●      Escalate any serious injuries or illnesses caused by products to the Director, Quality & Compliance manager to ensure these are appropriately handled by the business.

Ideal background…

●      Minimum 5 years Formal tertiary qualifications in QA/QC or relevant industry experience.

●      Experience with furniture, home furnishings or FMCG environment is preferred, but not limited.

●      People leadership experience is required.

●      Demonstrable experience in method validation is required

●      Demonstrable experience presenting and defending the quality control standards during regulatory inspections

●      High ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders while multitasking on a number of projects within a fast-paced environment

●      Excellent organisational skills, written & verbal communication skills and attention to detail
