As a key member of the Manufacturing Team, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe running of

Responsibilities:

Machine utilisation
To ensure efficient start-up at the beginning of each week and close down at the end of
each week.
Responsible for escalation of breakdown to Line Leader/Shift Supervisor.

Identification and reporting of early warning signs for faults.

Health & Safety
To fully comply with all company Health and Safety regulations.
To ensure that you wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Housekeeping

Shift Pattern:

This will be a 3 week rotating shift pattern that consists of:
Week 1 - 3 X 12 hour days
Week 2 - 3 X 12 hour nights
Week 3 - 2 X 12 hour days & 2 X 12 hour nights
This works out as an average of 40 hours per week
All shifts are 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am so candidates must live local to Haslingden or have a car.

The starting salary is £12.03 per hour (£25,022.40 per annum)
After 12 months the salary increases to £12.66 per hour (£26,332.80 per annum)
Once candidates are fully skilled the salary increases to £13.29 per hour (£27,643.20 per annum)

Overtime is paid at X1.5 of basic rate in the week, and X2 of basic rate at the weekend.

Holidays:

6.6 weeks per year (some fixed such as through xmas, some floating)
1 additional day after 4 years
2 additional days after 8 years
3 additional days after 12 years

Pension:

The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for 2 Electrical Engineers to work for an established, growing business in the Blackpool area.

Electrical Engineer salary: £31,800 for Mon - Fri Hours £38,500 for Out of Hours

Electrical Engineer hours: between 6.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) or for Out of Hours position Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday 2pm -11pm and 9am - 6pm Saturday / Sunday

Electrical Engineer Roles and responsibilities: Actively Learn all aspect of maintenance department

• Participate in, on the job training
• Attend all H&S and business-related course & briefings

Preventative Maintenance System

• Update and maintain the schedule
• Conduct walk rounds and visual inspection
• Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance of all equipment

Breakdown and Repairs

• Mechanical
• Electrical where permitted (legally)
• Plumbing
• To be part of the 'call out' team

New systems installation

• Electrical installations, cable routing etc - non-electrician work
• Mechanical installations
• Pipe work around factory
• Paperwork checks
• Logistics

Control of cost center and ordering

• Raising and checking purchase orders - to be handed to Maintenance Manager
• Obtaining quotes for work required
• Time sheets work and liaising with 3 rd party contractors
• Purchasing consumables

Administration

• Help in the preparation and implementing/ training out of, Risk Assessments (RA) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Preparing Method Statements for tasks and jobs to be done
• Training of other Maintenance team members & operational staff
• Control of contractors and their paper work

Utility Supervision

• Participate in the energy management system
• Check sampling equipment
• Cold rooms running to correct temperatures & settings
• Actively monitor and challenge water usage & wastage

Electrical Engineer Qualifications / Experience Required:

• Existing mechanical engineering qualification, or currently working towards same
• Working towards or has 18 th edition electrical qualification
• Effective Communication Skills between all levels within the business
• Time Management - ability to work to set deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team and also confident / competent to work on own
• Microsoft Office Skills (Excel & Word proficient), Outlook Express (Task and Diary management),
• Working knowledge of electrics
• Understanding of the 'Permit to work' system
• Driving Licence (clean/current)
• CCTV Knowledge
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Welding and fabrication
• Carpentry & Plumbing
• Refrigeration knowledge
• Knowledge of PLC units
• Understanding of Bulgarian Language
• Previously worked in a Food manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of food safety (Basic Hygiene)
• An understanding of health and safety requirements and implementation in the workplace.
• Training towards or achieved CIEH Level 3 Awards in Food Safety
• Ability to issue permits under the permit to work system
