The Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Division of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking an experienced DEI Learning & Engagement Lead to strengthen the recently established DEI team. Reporting to the Global Head of DEI, this position will play a critical role in developing the internal training and engagement infrastructure to build staff and manager capacity to be active partners in our DEI journey. This position will work closely with the DEI Office, the Senior Manager for Learning & Development on the Global Human Resources (HR) team and other relevant colleagues, and external consultants to design and implement formal and informal in-person and virtual DEI programming. This position will also work on other staff engagement initiatives, such as partnering with the HR team on engagement and culture surveys, serving as a point of contact for DEI questions from staff and managers, supporting the DEI Task Force, staff communities (ERGs), and other staff DEI engagement bodies, and contributing to internal DEI-related communications. Initial projects this position will work on include a foundational course for all staff, a deep dive curriculum for individual contributors and one for people managers, and several informal learning opportunities.

The successful candidate must have a track record of strategically and successfully building a holistic and effective DEI learning and engagement culture in global settings that is highly supportive of, and collaborative with, staff and managers across the organization. Responsibilities:

1. Partner with the Head of DEI and HR team on designing and implementing a comprehensive DEI Learning and Engagement Strategy to advance the overall organizational strategy and achieve sustainable results

2. Design, develop, and implement trainings, tools, and assessments for staff and managers in partnership with the Head of DEI, DEI & HR Senior Officer on the DEI Team, Learning & Development Senior Manager on the HR team, and external vendors.

3. Facilitate and co-facilitate staff and manager training, dialogue sessions, learning spaces, and informal engagement initiatives;

4. 5. Partner closely with thematic subject matter experts in programmatic teams (e.g. LGBT rights, women’s rights, disability rights, refugee and migrant rights) to ensure our internal trainings and resources are aligned with our programmatic work

6. Maintain and expand the DEI SharePoint page with resources and other relevant DEI information and promote the effective use of them;

7. Support and collaborate with the organization’s internal DEI Taskforce and other existing staff groups, including supporting the establishment of employee resource groups or potential other DEI-related employee networks;

8. Be a point of contact for staff and managers on DEI related issues related to DEI-related interactions, team culture, training, facilitation, and resources;

9. Contribute to internal DEI-related communications as needed in collaboration with the Internal Communications Strategist;

10. Contribute to strengthening the DEI function in the organization and cultivating an effective and inclusive DEI Team;

11. Operate in alignment with organizational values and compliance with organizational policies and protocols; and

12. Perform other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

The Training Executive serve as the point of contact between the Institute and prospective students and ensures overall smooth operations of the Institute. The incumbent identifies and educates prospective students on the programmes available and supports clients by providing information and assistance with closing.

Job Description

• Identify, build and manage sales pipeline and business relationships
• Drive the entire sales cycle – from leads generation, initial customer engagement, qualifying, consultation to closure
• Consult with prospects and pursue sales opportunities to close the deals effectively
• Conduct regular scan and report on competitors, industry/sectorial trends and government initiatives
• Regularly review and refresh programme sales pitches
• Handle and follow up on enquiries related to programmes, curriculum, sales, administrative and tech issues
• Provide support during company / participating events
• Run advertisements on social media platforms
• Any other adhoc duties as assigned by the Manager

Job Requirements

• Passion in promoting lifelong learning and employability
• Prior sales or customer service experience in education industry will be advantageous
• Ability to communicate efficiently and possess strong presentation skills
• Basic skills in PowerPoint, Word and Google applications
• Bilingual communication skills in both English and Chinese languages to handle different customer groups
• Minimum Diploma in relevant discipline(s)
• Strong sense of responsibility, positive working attitude and ability to work in a team
