ACCOUNTABILITY

Ensures adequate spare parts inventory, optimizes & coordinates scheduling of preventative, predictive & corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
Interacts with hourly, salaried and contract employees in routine matters, troubleshooting equipment and automation systems.
Provides supervisory coverage when required. Assists in the training of hourly employees. Promotes open communications and team work.
Maintains a high level of technical knowledge and may coordinate safety, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and environmental compliance programs.
Actively supports productivity improvement program and resolution of deviation events. Participates in root cause investigations, evaluates, develops and improves business processes and develops technical rationale for system improvements.
Develops Qualification, SOP and Preventative Maintenance documentation and provides reports, data and information to support on-going operations.

Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 9 is seeking skilled and motivated candidates to participate in the GlobalFoundries Maintenance Technician Program with Vermont State University.
To be selected for the program, successful candidates must pass through a panel interview process for the educational portion of the position, a set of interviews with maintenance shift managers for an assessment on your technical aptitude and competence, and pre-testing (math) administered by Vermont State University to be considered.
Candidates will be expected to work full-time while attending one Vermont State University course per semester, for 3 semesters per year. The program consists of 9 total accredited VTSU Courses all paid for by GlobalFoundries.
The program offers internal technician skill-based courses and on-the-job training. **Shift is 7 AM to 7 PM**
Key responsibilities will include:
Perform all tasks in molding and operate all respective equipment at a rate equal to or above established standards while maintaining all quality and GMP standards.
Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.
Make authorized adjustments and modifications to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity.
Responsible for product quality; in-process checks, accurately complete all quality documentation, quality documentation review, requalification, rework
Seek assistance from set ups & cell leads to meet production and quality expectations when required.
Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
Assist line technicians with equipment repair, trouble shooting and preventive maintenance.
Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and follow GMP requirements.
Perform quality inspections, process tests and record data accurately as required.
Maintain accurate documentation for reporting PPH, scrap/waste, SAP and MES transactions.
Identify and report any issues to the Cell Lead.
Proactively participate in problem solving methods through CI activities, (Blitz’s, Kaizens, KAS)
Operators must effectively cooperate with the others to ensure effective shift transfer and communication.
Support business needs by working overtime as necessary to satisfy schedule requirements

Education and experience:
H.S Diploma / G.E.D preferred. In lieu of H.S. Diploma / G.E.D., then two year industrial/manufacturing experience may be substituted
