We're looking for an Administrator to join our Crematorium who can make a real difference in their local community. In this role you'll assist in the provision of a courteous, efficient, effective, and dignified service to all our clients.

What we are offering is a full-time role, 39 hours per week, to be worked between Monday to Saturday, on an at need and rota basis, based at The Oaks Havant Crematorium (PO9 5NA).

As an integral part of our team supporting the day-to-day operation of the Crematorium, you'll be taking an active role in dealing with members of the public, clients and third parties to ensure all aspects of the day-to-day activities at the Crematorium run smoothly. You'll provide a warm and friendly welcome to the site and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of the bereaved in an empathetic and compassionate manner.

This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail will be essential. You'll be happy working alone, without direct supervision or immediate support, or as part of the wider team. Your day-to-day tasks will include but not be limited to as no day is ever the same:

-Be responsible for the diary booking system and all administration systems ensuring the smooth operation of the crematorium facility

-Promote, arrange, and administer cremation services, memorialisation orders and aftercare services in-line with, statutory legislation, and internal KPI's

-Liaising with all visitors to the site, attending and overseeing services and providing guidance to Funeral Directors, Clergy/Celebrants, the bereaved and members of the public before, during and after services.

-Ensuring the identification, storage, and final disposal of cremated remains in the grounds are undertaken and documented appropriately.

-Supporting the wider team to ensure the smooth running of every aspect of operations on site, including undertaking internal and external cleaning but not limited to.

-Provide Service hall cover when required - preparing the Service hall and other areas for services, ensuring they are carried out in accordance with pre-agreed arrangements and to the highest of standards.

-Be proactive in community engagement initiatives both individually and in team events, whilst promoting ELS/SC brand proactively and positively to become the communities' choice.

-Open and close the grounds and buildings (Book of Remembrance) out of hours including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis when required. *Additional payment applies

-Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably requested of you by the ELS management team.

We're offering a permanent full-time role (30 hours per week) working Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm at our branch in Farnborough.

What we're looking for

As a Funeral & Memorial Consultant, you'll provide cover and mobile support to funeral homes across our Funeralcare trading area. You'll be delivering the best end of life care, support and client experience through the arrangement and delivery of funerals, memorialisation, and aftercare services. You will be the point of contact for clients as you support them throughout the process of making funeral and memorial choices. You'll recognise the importance of understanding their individual wishes when organising a personal and unique tribute to their loved one.

Your day-to-day tasks will include

-Welcoming and putting our clients at ease, guiding them through the process of arranging the funeral of their loved one. Building rapport and relationships that exceed our client expectations and are sensitive to their individual needs.

-Making sure funeral arrangements, memorialisation orders and aftercare services are perfect by ensuring accuracy and high attention to detail in every aspect. This will involve liaising with internal Southern Co-op departments as well as external suppliers, all while keeping in touch with the family throughout.

-Maintaining compliance with company policies, statutory legislation, internal KPIs, Funeral Director Code and FCA regulation - understanding the assurance this brings to our clients.

-Ensuring correct care of the deceased, for example, conducting daily checks. You'll also facilitate Reflection Room visits for families.

-Being proactive in community engagement initiatives, both individually and as part of team events. Positively promoting the End-of-Life Services / Southern Co-op brand to become the community's choice.

About the role:

-You'll deliver an effective end to end recruitment solution across our retail business (Store Management, Duty Manager & Customer Service Assistants) focusing on improving the quality of hire and candidate experience

-Support the retail recruitment team day to day with workload, attend weekly 1:1's and regular team huddles, manage team rota and holidays. Monitor accuracy and productivity, provide regular feedback and share technical expertise

-Work closely with the team to ensure recruitment SLA's are met; monitor the candidate experience, ensuring all candidates receive feedback and have a positive experience with Southern Co-op, whether or not they join the business

-Provide weekly recruitment reporting to stakeholders

What's you'll need:

-Ideally you'll have in-house experience of delivering an effective resourcing service in a high volume, multi-site environment.

-Experiencing of leading a team to deliver results, this could be in a team leader or supervisory role

We're looking for a Casual Funeral Service Operative to join our team - someone who can make a real difference to our clients at a very emotional time in their life.

Working for us on a casual basis (bank working) from time to time and when the need arises, through booked shifts Monday-Friday and via out-of-hours on an on-call rota basis - based at our Camberley Support Centre (GU47 0QA).

We always strive to deliver the best end of life care, support, and experience to the deceased and their families at their time of need. As an integral part of our Funeral Operations team, you'll take responsibility for the deceased whilst they're in our care. You'll assist in the smooth delivery of funerals, from collection, transportation, and preparation of the deceased, through to driving our vehicles and acting as a conductor or bearer at funeral services.

This is a physically and emotionally demanding role, that also calls for an empathetic and compassionate approach with an ability to remain resilient under pressure. Previous experience within the funeral industry is not required, as we'll provide all the training and support you'll need.

What you'll need

- Able to demonstrate commercial awareness and business planning skills

- Committed to achieving and sustaining exceptional customer service standards

- Proven people management skills

- Able to communicate and influence at all levels

- Committed to promoting collaborative working

- Enthusiastic and flexible with a positive attitude

- Personal Licence Holder (or able to obtain and hold a licence within 16 weeks of appointment)

- Committed to develop own skills and apply learning to improve own performance

- Full UK Driving Licence (desired not essential)

Southern Co-op is recruiting for a Team Leader to join our thriving retail store. Our stores are way more than somewhere to pick up the groceries — they're the heart of the town or village, the place to bump into friends, or even a vital service for vulnerable people. As a Team Leader, you'll support the Store Manager to motivate, engage, lead & develop a team of colleagues.

What we're looking for

We're after the right candidate to encourage and drive the team forward, to promote, embed and support our values and community spirit, and provide an excellent memorable experience all round. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. You'll be self-motivated, with excellent communication and organisation skills, and be a great team player with a positive 'can do' attitude. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

-Participate in all aspects of store operations which include Post Office, Parcel Services, Local Suppliers, Neighbourly Programme, Too Good To Go and Home Delivery Services

-Engage with and support the local community

-Support the operational management of the store to ensure a safe, legal and high-performing business, whilst taking overall responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager

-Be a role model and lead the team to work together to provide an exceptional customer experience for our customers

-Ensure continued and sustainable growth in our business through leading and developing people
