You will join an experienced and dedicated team of mental health professionals, providing an efficient and effective service triaging referrals and undertaking assessments with people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Exciting opportunity to work in the Enhanced Recovery Services Care Hub (formerly Rehabilitation & High Support) part of the Specialist Network.

The post-holder will provide comprehensive personal assistant support to the Associate Director of Operations. They should be flexible and use own initiative to plan their workload, dependent upon the priorities and requirements at the time.

Norbury Ward is a busy adult acute inpatient mental health ward based at Stepping Hill Hospital at Stockport. We are currently seeking to recruit a band 5 staff nurse on a permanent contract to complement the staffing team that is already in place. You will be part of a thriving ward which is committed to providing a high level of quality care to the patients they work with. We offer preceptorship packages to newly qualified nurses. Norbury Ward is a 23 bedded, female ward, Adult Acute Admissions Ward in Stepping Hill Hospital providing short term care for individuals suffering from a wide range of Mental Health issues. We are a team consisting of Doctors, Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Occupational Therapist, Recovery & Inclusion Worker and support staff which strive to provide high quality care to people from the Stockport area.

Nursing Assistants play a vital role in delivering care to the individuals admitted on to Norbury Ward. Main Duties and Responsibilities
 To assist the qualified staff, as required in the delivery of care.
 To work as a member of the team with the support and supervision of a

Engage with patients to undertake activities and carry out duties that have been agreed with a qualified practitioner and follow a care plan. Required to use own initiative and decision making in the planning and delivery of some basic activities
 To complete patient monitoring charts in relation to e.g. weight, input/output of diet and fluids, observation, responding etc.
 To undertake and record clinical observations(e.g temperature, pulse, blood pressure) as required and instructed with access to supervision from a qualified member of staff. Recording the observations accordingly and escalating any concerns to a qualified practitioner as appropriate.
 To undertake and record therapeutic observations in accordance with the Trust’s Observation & Engagement Policy (for example general, 1:1 and 2:1 observations) as required and instructed with access to supervision from a qualified member of staff. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Home Treatment team (SHTT) in Stockport as we are currently undergoing a transformation in service delivery and care. We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic people to contribute to this development.
We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist with experience in Mental Health to work in the HTT.
The HTT is a multi disciplinary team with staff from a range of professions including, mental health nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and support workers. The team has a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist, and full admin support.

The core purpose of this role is to work within the Home Treatment team to embed the Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention pathway across the service within the framework of Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), in collaboration with the wider MDT staff and work towards a recovery focused ethos.

The post holder will function as part of the MDT to deliver the Interventions required to support individuals through the pathway and equip them with the skills and confidence to enable a safe discharge from the service. This role will involve crisis work; all aspects of the role will be brief and time limited, but will aim to retain an occupational focus.

The post holder will be highly skilled and competent in conducting OT assessments developing outcome based needs led care plans, facilitating the implementation of the agreed plan of care and evaluating its effectiveness utilising evidence based outcome measures.

The post holder will provide a range of highly skilled interventions that will be delivered on both a group and individual basis and share those skills with other team members.

• To be responsible for the assessment treatment and evaluation of patients referred specifically for OT intervention from the Home Treatment team.

We are currently looking for a band 5 nurse to join our team. Davenport Ward is a 20 bedded female acute mental health ward for patients over the age of 65. We are based at the Meadows Hospital in Offerton in Stockport. We deliver outstanding care to people who are suffering from a functional mental illness who are admitted for an assessment of their needs. Our aim is to help people live well with functional mental illness by working with families, carers and the wider MDT to manage the distressing symptoms they are suffering from. We will then work with the families and carers on a discharge pathway that supports both the people living with mental illness and their families and carers. Davenport Ward is a challenging and rewarding environment and we aim to offer the best care. We can provide to both the people living with dementia and those that support them. We are supported by a full multidisciplinary team of Consultant Psychiatrists, Mental Health Nurses, Psychology, occupational therapy and social workers.

As a qualified nurse you would be a vital member of the team in delivering person centred care to those admitted onto the ward. You will be working with people who can be very distressed and display some very challenging behaviours. It will be your responsibility to provide reassurance and distraction, using care and compassion, for the people living with dementia.
