Under the supervision of the Associate Director of International Student Services (Canada), the International Student and Scholar Advisor (ISSA) serves as a Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA or RCIC) provides immigration advising to international students and scholars at Northeastern University as per the federal guidelines. Advising topics include but are not limited to, providing advice on applications for study permits and associated work permits, visas and permits for accompanying family members, maintaining status in good standing, compliance with regulations regarding international students, and pathways to immigration. This role will provide accurate and timely information to a diverse range of students, which may include visiting students, study away students, and transfers from other NU global campuses, and will facilitate student support through other internal and external support department and staff.
With a holistic mindset, the ISSA will take a proactive approach to provide comprehensive advising to students including providing support in the area of pre-arrival support, orientation and cultural adaptation, making referrals to other institutional and third-party services and resources. The incumbent will regularly respond to students’ inquiries, proactively identify and advise students where they may need guidance and support and assist with proactive future planning that will effectively anticipate the needs in the student lifecycle, related to immigration regulations and other support measures.
The ISSA will support the development of international student services at the Vancouver campus location, including advising, orientations, information sessions, and support services grounded in CBIE and NAFSA best practices in service of the goal to retain and engage international students in the university community, creating an environment that contributes to student success. JOB SUMMARY:
The Media Services Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining all AV equipment for live events within the Event Management venues. This includes but is not limited to Sound Reinforcement, Event Lighting, Stage Managing, Projection and Video Switching. Media Services Technicians offer support to lectures, classes, concerts, and all other events that require AV. MST’s nyst initiate contact with event groups upon their arrival, coordinate the event’s schedule with the client, and act as point of first contact for all venue-related issues, solving arising problems and contacting the appropriate people (CSC Building Managers, Facilities, Information Services, NUPD as well as the supervisor for Event Management) for assistance when necessary. Media Services Technicians are also responsible for enforcing all fire/safety rules and regulations. They are responsible for diagnosing any and all technical problems and will take the steps necessary to resolve such problems. They are also responsible for maintaining an orderly work area as well as ensuring the AV storage areas are organized. It is also the responsibility of the Media Services Technician to notify their Director when inventory is low or there is equipment that is not working properly.
Knowledge of AV equipment is preferred but not necessary so long as you're tech savvy. Applicants must be outgoing, dependable and be able to provide quality customer service and possess the ability to solve problems quickly and courteously. Must be comfortable working in a team setting. Live events can be very fun and entertaining but also fast paced and at times high stress, Media Services Technician must be able to stay calm and collected during events.

The Senior Program Manager, Climate & AI Incubator will be responsible for working with the Director to turn the bold vision we have outlined into a thriving and world-class incubator for clean energy companies. You will work closely with our partners to manage a suite of services, programming, and equipment that align with the needs of Clean Energy start-ups. You will assist in company recruitment, ensuring we have high levels of membership in the incubator as well as strong company retention. You will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day of the Incubator runs smoothly.

The Director, Career Development and Experiential Learning leads career services and experiential learning for Northeastern University’s Toronto Campus, collaborating with the Partnerships team, career and experiential staff, and faculty located at the Toronto Campus and across the Northeastern Global University System.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Toronto Campus, the focus of this position is planning, developing, and overseeing the delivery of career development programs, e.g., full-time, co-op, experiential learning, for all students at the Toronto Campus.
The Director, Career Development and Experiential Learning will lead a team of student facing co-op and career advisors and will be accountable for building and executing a best-in-class strategy to ensure career readiness for all students at the Toronto Campus. This includes the design and delivery of career development and experiential learning programming related to networking, cover letter writing, co-op, job searches, workplace skills development, resume building, mock interview preparation, career readiness, etc.
The ideal candidate for this role is a strategic thinker and executor, who is motivated by student success and outcomes. This is an ideal role for someone who can design and execute a strategy, but who is also comfortable leading workshops, facilitating sessions, and working individually with students. We are looking for someone who is energized by the opportunity to help shape policies, innovations, and culture at a growing campus within a global network.
Other responsibilities include ensuring that students across all colleges and programs have consistent access to in-person and virtual career support; working with the Partnerships team and other internal partners to create and deliver events and programs to meet evolving career development needs; ensuring that co-op positions are administered in a timely, efficient manner; and ensuring that students across all colleges and programs have access to experiential learning and career opportunities.
The Director monitors trends to help shape priorities for new programs, services, and technological innovations. The position requires a minimum of three days/week on campus and some evening and weekend hours.

5-10 years of professional work experience in industry, technology-related fields, and/or academia preferred.
