Our investment professionals are responsible for delivering investment outcomes to our clients. They are enabled by many teams including Front Office Services (FOS), which is responsible for operations, investment compliance oversight & support functions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Investment Compliance – assist business owners to identify and monitor guideline compliance (including both regulatory and client mandated guidelines)
• Reporting – provide timely management of reports and escalation of regulatory and guideline compliance issues and deal with audit/quality assurance/inspection queries/issues relating to Investment Compliance function and regulatory compliance matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Investment Guidelines Compliance

• Conduct daily pre- and post-trade Investment Compliance monitoring
• Advise fund managers and internal customers on the interpretation of the relevant investment guidelines and restriction
• Improve and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of investment guidelines monitoring processes through process optimisation, technology, and automation
• Perform reviews of manual control rule monitoring
• Ensure that any investment breach (both passive and active) is properly followed up and reported on including to the client, where required
• Provide timely compliance reports and certification to clients on a periodic basis

Delegation Oversight

• Review the regular attestation received from delegates and escalate any guideline compliance issues to management
• Participate in on-going due diligence on delegations related matters

Coding & Innovation

• Guideline interpretation, translation, testing and sign-off
• Pre & Post trade monitoring process & policy documentation
• Centralization on rule coding & testing for Eastspring Local Business Units

General Assignments

• Perform other guideline compliance tasks which may be assigned from time-to-time by supervisors to discharge the team’s Investment Compliance functions e.g. assist in new instrument approval process

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate or post-graduate degree in Business/Accountancy/Finance
• Minimum 2 years of relevant financial regulatory compliance experience preferably in an asset management company
• Strong knowledge of MAS Code of CIS, Central Provident Board Investment Scheme and UCITS Investment restrictions and investment guidelines
• Candidates with BlackRock Aladdin or any similar investment monitoring related system experience within a multinational fund management would be preferred

ROLE

The Senior Business Analyst will work with the Business Solutions Architect on multiple initiatives and workstreams, across the end-to-end business functions of the organisation to assess current state design, propose new designs, as well as communicate and help to implement new operating models and/or process enhancements across our value chain.

The successful individual must be capable of leading both complex business and technology initiatives and have a deep understanding of both the investment operations and the technology that underpins required processes. Experience and knowledge of the Aladdin platform is highly preferred.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

This role is key in supporting the Business and Enterprise requirements for any RTB and/or CTB initiatives for Eastspring Investments.

Requirements Gathering:

• Responsible for assisting to define and align the Eastspring business architecture to the data and technology architecture
• Elicits requirements from stakeholders, applying effective elicitation methods/ standards/tools.
• Analyses and validates requirements using a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Conducts impact assessment to identify the "as-is" processes, systems, and the "future" processes, systems and structures.
• Performs data analysis to cleanse & standardize data and to ensure data consistency and quality.
• Performs gaps and resolutions analysis.
• Ensures requirements are complete.
• Documents requirement/processes using industry standard notations.
• Maintains relationships with stakeholders and obtains formal signoff of all requirement documentation.
• Liaises with service providers to ensure understanding of requirements and limitations of solutions.

Solution Assessment and Validation:

• Works closely with the IT and Business teams to ensure solutions are optimal.
• Supports functional and integration testing.

Implementation Support:

• Provides project support to the impacted teams during implementation phases, including answering queries, troubleshooting, liaison with service provider, providing regular reporting.
• Contributes to project management processes, including status reporting, risk, issue, change management.

DOMAIN SPECIFIC ATTRIBUTES:

• Strong foundation in buy side enterprise data model including portfolio structure, security reference data, market data, pricing, transactions & position, finance, and product data
• Working experience in major asset classes and associated analytics.
• Experience as Data BA in Reference Data/Operational Data system implementation

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Business/Finance or related disciplines
• 10+ years Financial Services BA experience (Asset management desirable)
• Excellent customer focus and high level of accuracy, and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the small team
• Experience in Data Analysis and change management
• Understanding of the asset management lifecycle, including trade flow and key front/middle/back-office concepts
• Familiar with data management frameworks
• Prior experience in Reference Data/Operational Data system implementation is desirable
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluency in both written and spoken English

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop and implement intelligent data products such as visualisations, models, and insights to provide data-driven recommendations for various departments within the organisation

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Power BI, with a strong technical understanding
• Experience with Power Apps is a plus
• Strong technical skills in data and database management, with proficiency in data wrangling, analytics, and transformation using Python, SQL, and Power Query
• Proficiency in visual storytelling through data visualisation
• CFA Level 1-3 certification or a good understanding of asset management would be an advantage, although not mandatory
