We are seeking a Distribution Engineering Construction Coordinator in Atlanta, GA who is passionate about electric utility design engineering. We’re looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring that every project, no matter how simple or complex, is of exceptional quality. The Distribution Coordinator will be part of our established Power Delivery Services division that provides consulting services to public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities. These consulting services provide clients with comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission and distribution, substation, and transmission line projects nationwide.
As a core team member, you will be interacting with other electric utility disciplines, playing a valuable part in engineering design calculations and the assessment of field data. You'll partner with our engineering and design teams to provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met. You’ll engage with technical designs and Client standards, ensuring quality and timeliness of design deliverables. You may be coordinating with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and 3rd party owners for joint-owned poles. In this position, you can expect heavy collaboration with engineering leads to ensure safe and reliable constructability of our client work packages. Successful Distribution Designer candidates will have interest in developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards. Distribution systems may be in an OH, UG, or URD environment. Project work may include joint use make ready, and street light projects. Work packages will be developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems. Project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include: structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices. We are looking for a Substation Physical Engineer to join our team. As an Career Substation Physical Engineer, candidates will have the opportunity to work on projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV. This is an exciting and growing field in the power systems industry and allows candidates to get exposure to how the power generation such as that of renewable energy ties into the electric system. Candidates will be expected to use knowledge of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits to design substation electrical projects.
Remote: - support capacity for candidates in living the Dallas, and Austin, TX client servicing areas.
Hybrid: - support capacity for candidates in living the Houston, TX client servicing areas. (2 -4) days a week in office!

The Substation Drafter will work under the mentorship of a seasoned drafter in a fast paced environment to perform various drafting and detailing functions using MicroStation and AutoCAD software for various utility clients. This individual will be working closely with multiple design engineers and designers to complete assignments at a high level of quality, efficiency, and productivity as required for execution of substation projects. This individual is expected to develop skills in the field of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and the ability to work with increased independence.

Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for a Project Manager who will work alongside lead engineers and account managers supporting various electric utility clients. We are currently seeking qualified applicants in or near Detroit MI, Boston MA and Chicago IL to provide Project Management Services related to electric utility engineering projects. Ideal candidates will be located near one of these listed areas, in order to be able to provide local support to our project teams.
The Project Manager will be part of an established Project Management Office within our Power Delivery Solutions division that provides consulting services to public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities for comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission, substation, and distribution projects nationwide.

This is a hybrid role where the candidate MUST live in the St Louis area and go into the St Louis office once a week.
The successful candidate will have an interest in developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards. Distribution systems may be in an OH, UG, or URD environment.
Project work may include joint use make ready, and street light projects. Work packages will be developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems. Project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include: structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices. The designer will also do occasional field work.
Assignments may also include: preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, development of a BOM, estimating costs, and customer advocacy such as acquiring easements or calculating a customer Contribution in Aid of Construction (CIAC).
