Yarl’s Wood IRC (Immigration Removal Centre) is a fully contained residential centre housing adult women and adult family groups awaiting immigration clearance. We focus on decency and respect in all aspects of care for our residents and use continuous innovation to further improve and develop our service. Within the centre we accommodate an everchanging population from a variety of backgrounds, all with different faiths, beliefs, and cultural values.

We have some vacancies for Housekeeper's to join our current team on a full time basis.

The job holder will be working in a team dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping surfaces in their work areas which includes bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, offices, medical rooms, corridors, store rooms and various other rooms. You will be wiping down desks, tables, walls, showers, toilets, doors, skirting boards and any other hard surfaces and also vacuuming carpeted areas and treating stains. You would also be working with clean and dirty laundry, emptying and cleaning bins.
Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries on your trolley and informing your supervisor when stocks get low. Any faulty cleaning appliance needs reporting to the supervisor. You would also be responsible for your cleaning trolley and to make sure all cleaning materials are cleaned, stored and secured in the correct manner.
You will also need to use and display all safety signs when cleaning and understand all environmental issues, health and safety procedures and laws that you will then need to comply to. You should also be able to use all the chemical and cleaning materials provided (after training), and be able to maintain all paperwork is correct and up to date.


What you need to do the job:

The ideal candidate will have good team skills and be able to work independently.
It is important that they have excellent organisational skills. The successful post holder must b able to demonstrate good spoken and written English. Additionally, they must be computer Literate.

As the Health Professional Complaints Lead you will report into the Customer Experience Manager and be the primary clinical voice within the Customer Experience team, providing clinical insight, analysis, input and leadership within complaints, regulatory investigations, and administrative processes within the business. This includes providing support to non-clinical team members who interact with claimants on the phone. The role may also engage directly with colleagues within the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) by supporting the investigations of Internal Process Reviews (IPRs) when requested.

Your main responsibilities:

- Accurately respond to complaints where the issue raised is clinical in nature.
- Support the whole Customer Experience team with clinical insight and knowledge in your specialist disability assessment area.
- Lead on investigations prompted by clinical regulatory bodies.
- Develop and maintain a suite of documents and reporting mechanisms to communicate themes from complaints to ensure learning is fed back to the business as part of continuous improvement.
- Complete end-to-end case audits in support of complaints from Members of Parliament.
- Agree detective and corrective actions with line managers to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain approval status by completing disability assessments in your specialism.

What you’ll need to do the role:

- Valid and clear NMC, HCPC or GMC
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Approved status with DWP as an HP with the DWP for PIP or WCA
- One year’s experience as an HP in PIP or WCA
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Mentoring and teaching new practitioners with the ability to provide feedback in a compassionate and constructive manner.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Main Purpose:

We have some exciting opportunities to join our team in based in Lerwick. You’ll be part of our Cleaning team who work hard to provide a high-quality service within one of Transport’s flagship contracts NorthLink Ferries. Key Accountabilities

Serco have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join our team based at Fourth Valley Royal hospital. Managing our Hard Service contracts our General Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a group of services reporting directly to the Contract Director.

As a member of the Leadership Team, you set strategic business objectives, make, and act on decisions, set and lead by example and perform well under pressure. You will manage an overall budget of around £7m and over 50 staff. You will liaise with the NHS and Project Co-partners at all levels and be able to deliver your services in line with the budgets and meeting the contract quality standards. As a senior manager you may be required to act-up in the absence of the Contract Director.

Main Accountabilities:


- Prepare, monitor, and manage your budget in line with the overall contract objectives.
- Identify and implement cost saving efficiencies across your services.

Serco’s Environmental Services provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of the residents and community. With a professional, dedicated, and friendly team of Refuse and Recycling and Street Cleansing staff, we ensure that streets, homes, and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve.

And right now, we have an opportunity for a full time cleaner to join our team of essential key workers and help us make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in. 
As a cleaner you will maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building which will include office space, kitchen and toilet facilities.

This role will see you being self-motivated and responsible for your own workloads, paying attention to detail ensuring the environment for you and the team is kept safe and clean.

What you’ll need to do the role

You will use your previous cleaning experience to ensure you follow and promote safe COSHH procedures.
Good communication and customer care are important attributes to hold to complete this role.
Due to the location of the site from public transport it is highly advisable for candidates to have their own method of transport. Onsite parking is available

Cleaner
Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre

Hours – Full time 38.5 hrs

Here at Serco we have an opportunity for a Cleaning Operative to join our close-knit team working in Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre.

By joining our Cleaning Services team, you’ll work as part of a team ensuring that all area’s assigned are cleaned to the highest standard using the equipment provided, keeping schedules updated, maintain records of tools and carry out any other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager/Senior Engineer.

You will have a flexible and proactive approach with the ability to self-motivate and use your own initiative to prioritise workload with added duties such as:


- Maintaining cleaning stock within designated areas
- Complying with Health & Safety Cleaning Procedures
- Carrying out any other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager/Senior Engineer
- Cleaning all areas that are assigned to the Cleaning Schedule


What you’ll need to do the role

First and foremost, previous experience is essential, and you must have a Basic Health & Safety qualification. You must be able to operate equipment i.e. vacuums, buffers & wet vac machines and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and all offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office.
