As a Senior Material Compliance Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring that our products and materials meet all relevant compliance standards. Your expertise and experience will drive our commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory adherence. 

Here’s what the role entails:

Research and Strategy:

• Identify applicable compliance standards and develop policies and strategies.
• Execute short-term and long-range implementation programs.
• Interpret regulations, assess risks, and propose best-fit procedures.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and sign-off compliance reports and declarations.
• Manage materials compliance database.

Standardization:

• Adopt industry best practices for documentation processes and templates.

Stay Current:

• Track regulatory developments and emerging practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address customer compliance requests.

 

Ideal candidate:

• 3-5 years' experience working as a compliance engineer.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards - RoHS, REACH (SCIP), Conflict Minerals, Prop 65, TSCA, POPs, VOCs, WEEE, etc. is a must
• Fundamental knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools such as MS Power Query, SQL, Power BI, etc.
• Proficient in report writing and material compliance management processes.
• Experience in SAP or other ERP Systems, especially experienced in product data extraction from the systems.
• Knowledge of product labelling (CE, CCC, FCC markings, etc.) and packaging requirements is desirable.
• Experience in product safety and EMC certification (IEC62368\60601\55032\61000, etc.) is desirable.
• Experience in project management and quality & reliability control is desirable.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, SharePoint. Experience in Power Platform is a strong plus.
• Result-driven, attention-to-detail and passionate for continuous improvements.

Nature and aim of the position

Currency Select, a leading provider of payment card processing services and a subsidiary of the Global Blue Group (www.globalblue.com), a leading provider of Global Tourist Tax Free processing services is seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer to provide technical applications management support for core payment applications and solutions.

Reporting to the Manager Applications Support in Sydney, the role’s focus will be to support, monitor and maintain the efficiency and availability of our software applications.  In this role, you will work closely with external software vendors, our Infrastructure, and internal development team and our IT operations teams.

To succeed, you should possess extensive experience in providing application support in a fast-paced environment and have a proactive approach to application support to manage required tasks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing software application support as directed by Manager Applications Support.

• Perform analyses of software application functionality and suggest improvements.
• Ensure effective front end and back end functionality of applications.
• Consult with software vendors, software development teams, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.
• Manage code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.
• Establish root causes for application errors and escalate serious concerns to management.
• Keep records of configuration changes and schedule application updates.
• Document processes and monitor application performance metrics.
• Providing technical support to clients and internal users in other departments.
• Assisting with systems integrations.
• Maintain and update technical documents and procedures.
• Assist in preparing maintenance plans and upgrade schedules for applications.

Key Competencies

• Minimum 5-year of Application Support experience

Preferable Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrable experience as an Application Support Engineer.
• Prior experience in providing application support for ACI Acquirer Module, ACI

Interchange Module & Control-M application is highly desirable.

• Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor application performance.
• C programming skills and background

• Advanced SQL scripting
• Data modelling skills
• Competency to provide broader support across internal departments.
• Exceptional analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
• Working experience in payment processing business is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload.
• Maturity in managing expectations: change requests, dealing with unexpected incident, and supporting technical issues through to resolution.
• Be details oriented, with high quality standards and accuracy in work, independent, goal oriented and with self-motivating personality.
• Excellent in English (written and spoken), other languages are desirable.

Education and Background Qualifications

• The incumbent should be a university graduate and hold qualifications in IT, computing and/or engineering with at least 5 years of experience working as an Application Support Engineer. They should have strong analytical and trouble-shooting capabilities, and a proven track-record in providing support for critical enterprise application.

Reporting to the Service Sales Manager, the Service Sales Consultant will be responsible for promoting and selling elevator and escalator service agreements to both new and existing customers. This role is instrumental in driving revenue growth and expanding our service contract portfolio.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and qualifying potential customers for elevator and escalator service agreements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their service needs and promote contract renewals and upgrades.
