Responsible for assessing both from a financial and from a business perspective the commercial impact of regional and global TCH deals originating in APAC across all segments.. Including: active support to negotiations, business assessment, pricing, financial modeling, proposal approval, submission to Investment Committee and post – mortem analysis and corrective actions.
The geographical scope of the responsibility is APAC, and includes the evaluation of commercial negotiations and the ad-hoc support to Senior Management in TCH APAC.
Job Description
Global and Regional Business cases with APAC HQ
Scope: In the scope of TCH, the candidate would be responsible for the evaluation, modeling, and assistance in Investment Committee submission of commercial business cases, including among others:
1. Global distribution
2. Regional distribution
Main responsibilities include:
• Actively participate in all TCH global and regional distrubtion negotiations in the region, providing support to the sales organisations while ensuring that Amadeus business risks are identified and mitigated.
• Achieve expert understanding on highly complicated deals
• Financial modeling (from a customer perspective and from the Amadeus perspective) + Provide supporting analysis to the sales teams in a timely manner in both IT and Distribution (Yield / value added Proposition + Savings + etc..)
• Pricing policies
• Opportunity and risk assessment (legal, financial, commercial, etc…)
• Prepare financial inputs for presentations and other documentation for both management review and presentation to customer
• Supervision and coordination of the approval process
• Participate in submission process to Investment Committee, contribute to documentation, defend the project in the Investment Committee preparatory meeting and work closely with sponsor (Director level or above) to prepare the final InvComm session
• Review financial sections of draft contracts, ensuring the involvement of other Finance departments as required
• Post-mortem analysis and identification of corrective actions
• As GDS industry gains in complexity, be responsible of taking into account all the relevant drivers in each deal so that the way to valuate Segment deals is as accurate as possible as industry evolves. (Private Channels, Wholesale, Opt-in/Opt-outs, EOS, Group Bkgs, Non Fully owned ACO agreements)
Be point of contact with ComOps for any special project ongoing in the segment
• Involve other depts., or teams at a Senior Level (Controlling, Billing, Airline Content Sourcing, R&D, Customer Solutions, Commercial Operations, Accounting, Treasury…) in a deal when their expertise and knowledge is important for the outcome of the deal and important for the impact on Amadeus financials. As well as keeping these teams informed of the evolution of the deal. Escalating to Top Management when risk is detected in a particular deal.
•In all cases, close coordination with Account Management and other Finance departments is required.
•Enable proper decision making by providing an unbiased and independent overall assessment of deal attractiveness, including financial and other aspects, and covering all deal sizes from small to strategic, and all levels of complexity

INCA Champion - Asia Pacific
Scope: The candidate would be responsible for INCA training, policy compliance, process improvement in APAC. Whilst not technically responsible for the tool, would be the bridge been INCA tool users and central product owners.
Main responsibilities include:
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and new feature training sessions bi monthly
• Ensure compliance with global policy and drive best practice tool use (both finance and commercial teams)
• Regional operational champion, respond to ad hoc questions from finance and commercial teams on tool use and follow up on technical issued with central product owners, where required issue guidance on temporary work arounds.
Objectives:
1. To support the users of INCA tool in APAC
2. To ensure compliance with policy and drive best practice.
MNA APAC HQ forecasting
Scope: Ensure knowledge of impact of APAC global and regional distribution deals is feed into APAC region forecast process. Work closely with APAC TCH Segment controllers to facilitate flow of information in respect of new and renegotiated deals.
Objectives:
1. To ensure flow of information to maximize accuracy of forecasts.
About ideal candidate:
- Degree in Economics/ Engineering/ Business or numerate degree. MBA or post graduate studies considered a plus.
- 7-10 years experience in business consulting or commercial / financial role in a multinational with Financial / project valuation knowledge.
- Has a good business understanding, Travel or GDS industry knowledge, IT / IT Outsourcing industry knowledge will be an added advantage
