We have a new opportunity to join our team and use your knowledge and skills of diagnostics, repairs and testing. If you have good organisational skills, are able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and have a commitment to customer care, then this could be the perfect role for you.
Your contracted hours will normally be worked over 5 days per week, however the role does require participation in the on-call rota, for which additional payments will apply.

The successful candidate will service, test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair faults, most, of which are non-routine and can be of a complex nature on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment.
The work will include (but not be limited to) engineering distribution systems, heating, water, gas, ventilation, MGPS, building controls, steriliser / decontamination equipment, boiler controls, lifts, pneumatic systems etc.

Complete planned preventative maintenance schedules on various plant and equipment using specific tools and equipment and utilising highly developed skills necessary for relevant accuracy. Use the estates computerised Facilities Management System to record work records including time, date, actions etc. and update regularly to keep abreast of development of the Trust/Hospital.
Respond to all type of works, working from Planned Maintenance Schedules, Help Desk Requisitions, and verbal instructions.
Play an active role in maintaining a safe, efficient, working environment by providing a range of effective day-to-day engineering and technical services to the site.
Able to forward plan resource needs applicable to a Mechanical Maintenance Craftsperson, i.e. types of tools and equipment used for each task. Ensuring Health & Safety and COSHH regulations are adhered to at all times.
